The Next Web just reviewed Redmi Note 3 as well. Let’s see what they have to say: (TL;DR)
If you’re looking for a great phone on the cheap, you can’t do much better than the Redmi Note 3. The only bummer is that it’s only available through Xiaomi’s annoying flash sales – but even then, I’d say it’s worth the hassle.
Great phone, only available through a flash sale. Just like in China, and that has been the case since forever here. Get used to it, India! Xiaomi doesn’t have the capacity yet to make millions of phones, unfortunately. Still waiting for my Mi5 Pro here in China to be obtainable as well.
It is good to see The Verge covering Xiaomi but giving this hands-on to a person that doesn’t even call “Xiaomi’s theme” MIUI is pretty bad. But hey, coverage is coverage. They went hands-on obviously with the Snapdragon 650 variant – the “international” one.
Brace yourselves for some angry YouTube and Reddit comments, Verge.
Only 90 minutes to go. Tune in and watch Hugo Barra release Redmi Note 3 officially in India.
Update: Event has concluded. Press play to view the recording from the presentation start.
Redmi Note 3 is now out in India for Rs. 9,999 for 16GB + 2GB and Rs. 11,999 for 32GB + 3GB. It also features 16MPx Camera and Snapdragon 650, so it is a bit faster than the original Redmi Note 3 from China. Congrats, India!
In addition, Xiaomi Mi5 is launching in a month from now in India, as announced by Hugo in this very video at the end. You lucky ducks! Have fun, India.
Xiaomi just announced the Redmi Note 3. 899 RMB for 2GB + 16GB or 1099 RMB for 3GB + 32GB model. These prices are getting better and better. Find out more here.

To be completely honest, the phone does look beautiful. And for this price, it is in league of its own. Job well dole, Xiaomi. Now, it is time for Mi5 to shine early next year.
On top of the phone, Mi Pad 2 and Mi Air Purifier 2 were announced as well. I can see Mi Air Purifier 2 being a big deal here in China due to pollution in major cities, but outside of China, not so much.
